The Sailor Scouts are well known as the Champions of Justice. Their legacy began far before our lives today. From even before the time known as the Silver Millennium, there have been protectors of our beloved Earth. But even the most just of all rulers, such as the late Queen Serenity, have been forced to keep secrets that are more compromisingly gray than many imagine for such a black and white good guy.
One such example is Princess Selena.
The people of the moon had their own culture, customs, and local legends, just like any other society would. Naturally, there were more than a few superstitions about the royal family that ruled their home.
One such myth said that anytime a moon ruler has a child, it was always be a girl. And, so far, that had always been the case. However, that same superstition also states that anytime there is a second child born to a moon queen, it will be evil.
This last part of the superstition was created when the only other second moon princess ever known to be born, Queen Nehelania, was tired of being the second favorite and became bitter. Queen Serenity knew the legend well, for Queen Nehelania was her aunt.
There were more customs native only to the Moon Kingdom. Perhaps one that might interest you was a taboo that decreed after a moon queen's consort passes, no one is to speak of him again. That is why no one ever mentioned Princess Serenity's father. Though perhaps that is a story best left for another day.
This story begins with a taboo secretly broken by Queen Serenity. For all her fairness, Queen Serenity was too tenderhearted a ruler. So when her consort, whose name is no longer and never again will be known, died, she sealed herself up in a hole pierced in distorted time to mourn. To the outside kingdom, she was gone for only a little over 6 hours. But inside her grief-stricken sanctuary, 11 months and 22 days passed. Unknown to everyone else, it became increasingly clear to Serenity that the man she loved had left her one last gift... a baby.
Queen Serenity knew that this child of hers would not be thought of as the joy it was to her. To prevent her newborn daughter's ostracism, and perhaps even execution, Queen Serenity gave her precious secret the hidden moon of the Elysion sky to rule.
But what happened to that unknown princess after the fall of the Silver Millennium, you ask? Let's find out...
Combined Moves/Attacks:
Moon Purity Sanction Assist ~
This is the original Sailor Moon newest move of the Eternal Rod, and the one that calls forth my character, Sailor Moon Eclipse, in the first place. Of course, she gets yet another upgraded wand later. Paraphased foreshadowing: "That surge of power is about all I can do from here at the moment. If that Serenity can find out how to give her rod glowing wings, she will be able to call out her new move."-Sailor Moon Eclipse
